Introducing the ARTeMIS License Server

No need for node locked license files or dongles anymore!


We are now introducing the ARTeMIS License Server that allows you to check out your ARTeMIS licenses on any computer on your network. You can work connected or disconnected from the network. Whether you are an enterprise user or working in academics, this solution will make life much easier for you - No more struggles with node locked license files or dongles!


Working with a connected computer

As long as your client computers running ARTeMIS are connected to the network, you simply start and stop ARTeMIS seamlessly. If there is a license available on the license server, it will be automatically checked out at startup of the software.


Working with a disconnected computer
If you plan to work disconnected on a client computer running ARTeMIS, you simply ask for a roaming license directly from the ARTeMIS license administration dialog. Here you specify how many days you need the license. Once you have closed ARTeMIS after this request, you may disconnect the computer for the requested days.

ARTeMIS User Training Course - Book Now! - Save 10%!

This 2-days' course is for the new as well as experienced users that want to be updated on Operational Modal Analysis technology as well as the latest features of ARTeMIS Operational Modal Analysis software.



The course will be held on October 7-8, 2013 at Structural Vibration Solutions A/S, NOVI Science Park, Niels Jernes Vej 10, 9220 Aalborg East, Denmark. Both days we start at 9.00 and end at 16.00. There will be lunch and coffee breaks during the day and free WiFi internet access. The course instructor is Dr. Palle Andersen, CEO and senior developer of the ARTeMIS software.




On day 1 you will get a comprehensive introduction to Operational Modal Analysis technology in general. During this introduction, the differences to the well-known input/output modal analysis will be described. Also the procedures for acquiring high quality measurements will be discussed in detail. The introduction is followed by a presentation of the user-friendly Frequency Domain Decomposition (FDD) technique, and we will analyze some example data as hands-on exercises. Finally, the two other FDD related techniques of ARTeMIS (Enhanced Frequency Domain Decomposition and Curve-fit Frequency Domain Decomposition) are introduced, and we will continue with hands-on exercises using these techniques. The example data will both be from ambient excited structures and mechanical structures subjected to sinusoidal (harmonic) excitation. We end day 1 at a restaurant in the old downtown of Aalborg.


On day 2 you will be introduced to Stochastic Subspace Identification (SSI) and all the latest features being available in ARTeMIS.


You will get a binder with the course material as well as a 1-month free demo version of ARTeMIS Modal Pro, that we invite you to install on your own laptop for use during the hands-on exercises of the course.

New Features in the Upcoming ARTeMIS Modal 2.0


We continue the rapid development of new features in the upcoming ARTeMIS Modal release 2.0. This release will be available in the fall this year. Below some of the new features are highlighed.


Prepare Geometry Task - High Level Objects & Colors

1. Easy drawing using predefined geometry objects (Cylinder, Truncated Cone, Rectangle, Outlined Rectangle, Cuboid).


2. Global geometry with custom surface colors specified for each drawing object in the Prepare Geometry Task.



Assign DOF Information Task - Cylindrical Coordinates

Cylindrical coordinates are now introduced in the Prepare Geometry Task as well as in the Assign DOF Information Task.
If the drawn object is a cylinder, you now have the option of assigning sensors radially and tangentially in nodes of the object.


Modal Estimation Task - SSI Validation

The Crystal Clear Stochastic Subspace Identification estimators now include validation windows for the individual state space models.

You can display magnitudes and phase angles of spectral densities of the model overlaid with the measurements. You can also validate the spectral densities of the prediction errors between the measurements and the models response.
