Check Out ARTeMIS Modal YouTube Videos

We have created a series of YouTube getting started videos that demonstrate ARTeMIS Modal and the different plugin modules for Structural Health Monitoring. Please have a look at:

- Creating a New Project with the Setup Tasks

- Signal Processing and Modal Analysis

- New Harmonics Reduction Tool

- Modal Parameter History Plugin

- Damage Detection Plugin

New Features in Upcoming ARTeMIS Modal 4.0

Version 4.0 of ARTeMIS Modal will be released in the spring time. Below, we would like to introduce some of the new features appearing.

Time Domain Operating Deflection Shapes

All versions of ARTeMIS Modal 4.0 will include the time domain Operating Deflection Shapes (ODS) analysis. Measurements are automatically integrated (if needed) to displacements that can be animated simultaneously Test Setup by Test Setup.

For more information about the ODS tasks in ARTeMIS Modal please follow this link. The presented project is described in the case study link.

3D Data View

All SHM plugins in ARTeMIS Modal Pro 4.0 will include a new 3D Data View feature that can visualize the change of the Singular Value Decomposition of the spectral densities of all measurements which have been uploaded as Analysis Sessions.

There is a cursor facility that allows selection of a specific sessions diagram (shown in white colored line in the picture). By double-clicking the mouse, the specific Singular Value Decomposition diagram can be opened in its own window as shown in the bottom right corner of the picture.

If a damage detection has been made in the project, the damage indicator can optionally be shown as bars to the right of the 3D diagram. Green bars indicate no change of dynamics and red bars a significant change.

Please see the YouTube introduction video here.

ARTeMIS Modal 4.0 will include many other enhancements. Among these are upload facility for National Instruments TDMS files, an editor for outlier detection and removal, and an Enhanced Table View in the Assign DOF Information task.

See you at IOMAC 2015 and SHMII 7 Conferences!

SVS will be exhibiting at the IOMAC 2015 conference in Gijon, Spain on May 10-14, 2015, and at the SHMII 7 in Torino, Italy on July 1-3, 2015. We will be showing the new features of ARTeMIS Modal 4.0 and all the plugin modules for Structural Health Monitoring.
