    1. ARTeMIS Modal 7.0 Released

We have just released version 7.0 of ARTeMIS Modal. If you are already an active user of ARTeMIS Modal, please go ahead and download the installer and license file from portal.svibs.com. If you would like to test the software, please feel free to download a 30 days trial license from  svibs.com/download/.

    1.1 Updated Computational Engine

The signal processing and automatic modal analysis has been optimized by centralizing both the computations and their management directly in the computational engine. This has simplified the communication between user interface and computation engine, and has resulted in increased performance and stability.

    1.2 Updated User-Interface in Data

    Acquisition Tasks

We have simplified the data acquisition task for Operational Modal Analysis measurements. There is now an “Idle” button next to the “Start” and “Stop” buttons. The dialogs for setting up the actual recording has also been made more logical. We have added support for HBM QuantumX hardware, both for Operational Modal Analysis and Experimental Modal Analysis.

New user-interface for the Data Acquisition Task for Experimental Modal Analysis (Impact Testing).

New user-interface for the Data Acquisition Task for Experimental Modal Analysis (Impact Testing).

1.3 Updated Plugins for Structural Health Monitoring

The plugins for Structural Health Monitoring have also been updated in this release. We have optimized the data access causing both Damage Detection and Interstorey Drift Analysis to work much faster than previously.

The automatic export in the Analysis History windows have been centralized, and now, besides exporting all modes and tracked modes, it is also possible to export damage indicators, control chart values and relative drift values. It is now possible to just save a reference to the measurement files, and as such not load them into the Analysis Session AMPS files. This significantly decreases the size of these files.

Additional options have been added in the Analysis Sessions window for easy editing of multiple sessions. The options are Delete, Disable, Detach. Additional columns for listing the Classic and Robust damage indicators and control chart values with colored background can also be added now.

Analysis History Task with Modal Parameter History overlaid with Damage Detection and Interstorey Drift Analysis. New extended layout of the Analysis Sessions Window. Now with visualization of the damage indicator and control chart values.

The Automatic File Upload Task has been simplified and is now only available from a menu item in the status bar of ARTeMIS Modal.

The Automatic File Upload Task controlled from the status bar.

1.4 Updated Import of SVS Configuration File

In the SVS Configuration File used for initialization of an ARTeMIS Modal project, it is now possible to explicitly select projection channels. In the Setups section, just add the option /XPC after the channel label. In addition, if the channel data needs to be calibration by multiplication of a factor, then just add the option
/Calib:XXX after the channel label, where XXX is the calibration factor.

The Setups section of an SVS Configuration File with new /XPC and /Calib options added.
